Do I need to drill into wall studs?

For the most secure installation, mounting into wall studs is ideal - especially for heavier cats. The kit also includes heavy-duty plasterboard anchors rated to hold the shelf loads without studs, which work well for cats up to 8 kg. We include guidance in the installation manual on how to locate studs using a standard stud finder.

Can I arrange the pieces in any configuration?

Yes. The six pieces are individual units that you space according to your wall dimensions and your cat's jumping ability. The guide includes suggested layouts from starter (gentle steps close together) to advanced (wider gaps for athletic climbers).

My cat has never used wall shelves before - will they adapt?

Most cats take to wall shelves within a few days, especially when they are positioned near an existing favourite spot. Start with the lower pieces and let your cat discover the route at their own pace. A treat or a little catnip on each platform helps enormously.

What is the maximum height I should mount the top piece?

We recommend placing the highest piece at a height your cat can safely jump or climb to and down from. For most cats, 150–180 cm from the floor for the top piece is ideal. Always ensure there is a safe descent route - cats can get up anything; coming down is the challenge.

How do I clean it?
