What is the difference between Summit-Step and the original Summit Cat Tree?

Summit-Step uses sisal-jute rope (denser and more durable than standard sisal) and a thicker plush on the platforms, giving it a slightly more premium feel at a higher price point. Are the hanging play balls safely attached?

Yes - the balls are attached via reinforced elastic cord and securely anchored to the platform edges. Periodically check the attachment points as part of routine maintenance and replace any cord that shows fraying.

Will my cat actually use it?

Cats are more likely to use a tree placed near a window or their favourite resting spot. We recommend sprinkling a little catnip on the platforms when you first set it up to encourage exploration.

How does the jute scratching post compare to regular sisal?

Sisal-jute is a blended rope that combines the coarseness cats love in sisal with the density of jute - it lasts noticeably longer than pure sisal and produces less loose-fibre shedding in the early weeks of use. Most cats take to it immediately.
